Weekly Programs and Affinity Spaces

USC’s LGBTQ+ Student Center invites you to find and build community with other students through our weekly programs. Some weekly spaces are topic/interest based while others celebrate and highlight unique lived experiences.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The LGBTQ+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.

Ace/Aro Space

Thursdays, 4-5pm @ LGBTQ+SC

An intentional space to highlight asexual, aromantic, demisexual, and ace/aro spectrum lived experiences. Engage in discussions, plan hangouts and activities, discuss ace/aro related issues, and build community with your peers. 

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The LGBTQ+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.

Beyond the Binary

Fridays, 5-6pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Beyond the Binary is an intentional space to highlight trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and gender questioning lived experiences and for folks to be in community with one another. 

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The LGBTQ+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.

Bi+ Spaces

Wednesdays, 5-6pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Bi+ Spaces is an intentional space to highlight bisexual, polysexual, pansexual, and/or another non-monosexual lived experiences and to connect with others. Engage in discussions, plan hangouts and activities, discuss bi+ related issues, and build community with your peers.

Friends of Sappho

Tuesdays, 5-6pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Friends of Sappho is an intentional space to highlight the lived experiences of women who love women, inclusive of bi women, trans women, and non-binary and gender non-conforming people. Engage in discussions, participate in activities, and build community with your peers.

Queer Book Club

Fridays, 4-5pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Queer Book Club is a space to discuss a new LGBTQ+ book each semester. Engage in regular book conversations, get book/reading recommendations, and join a tight-knit group with a passion for queer literature.

Queer Fandom Fanatics

Wednesdays, 4-5pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Queer Fandom Fanatics is a weekly space for folks to geek out and talk about all things pop culture (tv, movies, comics, video games, fandom, etc) through a queer, intersectional lens. 

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The LGBTQ+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.

Rainbow Fight On

QND

Thursdays, 5-6pm @ LGBTQ+SC

QND is an intentional space to highlight queer, neurodivergent lived experiences and for students to build community in a space where those experiences are validated. Engage in discussions and activities where differences are accommodated and affirmed through an intersectional lens. 

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The LGBTQ+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.

QTPOC Lounge

Mondays, 5-6pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Queer/Trans People of Color (QTPOC) Lounge is an intentional space to highlight QTPOC lived experiences and for students to come hangout and build community. 

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The LGBTQ+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.

Rainbow International

Mondays, 4-5pm @ LGBTQ+SC

Rainbow International is a weekly intentional space to highlight the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ international students, including queer experiences in other nation(s) vs Los Angeles, global pop culture, and international food.
